However, the star-delta control cabinet has some shortcomings, and its applicable motor power is limited: it is usually suitable for three-phase asynchronous motors with a capacity of more than 7.5KW. For motors with lower power, the star-delta start is not cost-effective, while for large-capacity motors, it may be difficult to meet the start requirements due to insufficient start torque. Not suitable for frequent start-up: Due to certain current and torque shocks during start-up, frequent start-up will further aggravate the wear and tear on motors and mechanical equipment, and at the same time, it will also cause a greater burden on the power grid.
